SOP Cleaning of RLAF filter.

 

OBJECTIVE:To define the cleaning procedure for reverse laminar air flow filters.

SCOPE:This SOP is applicable for cleaning of reverse laminar air flow filters located at sampling & dispensing booth of store department.

 

REFERENCE:In-house

 

RESPONSIBILITY:1. Maintenance Technician – To clean RLAF filter as per SCP.2. Maintenance Head-To ensure SCP is being followed.

3. QA – To ensure the implementation of SCP.

PROCEDURE:

1. A person carrying out the filter cleaning activity should wear clean nose mask, and rubber hand gloves.

2. Switch off the RLAF and put the “To Be Clean” label over it.

3. Open the grill of filter plenum.

4. Remove the filter and put it into a LDPE bag.

5. Take the filter to Filter Washing area (Near HVAC & Utility Services Area).

6. Remove the filter from LDPE bag and put it in the reverse direction.

7. Open the potable water valve and clean the filter with filtered potable water.

8. Close the potable water valve.

9. Open the compressed air valve and clean the filter with filtered compressed air at 40-50 psi pressure.

10. Close the compressed air valve.

11. Put the filter in the direction of normal flow.

12. Clean the filter as per points 6 to 10.

13. Ensure that filter is completely dried. Blow the compressed air, if required to dry the filter.

14. Remove the filter and check visually for its integrity and any damage of gasket. Rectify it, if required.

15. Put the filter into fresh LDPE bag.

16. Open the inspection door and wipe the filter plenum and blower using dry and clean duster.

17. Fix back the filter in the filter plenum.

18. Fix the grill of the filter.

19. Records are completed after completion of work.
